UW-W, 10-1, will host North Central College, 9-2, Saturday, November 24 at 12:00.
Tickets for the North Central game are on sale in the University Ticket Office, and will be sold at Perkins Stadium on the day of the game. Call 262-472-2222 for ticket information. Special ... David Kachel/DLK Enterprises have purchased 500 tickets for the North Central game and will give them, free, to UW-W students on a first come, first served basis. Pick up your free tickets at the Kachel offices on Tratt Street. Tickets, as long as they last, will be handed out at the Kachel office until kickoff. And, all Warhawk fans are invited to stop by the Coulthart Family Pavilion beginning at 10:00 Saturday for free chili dogs, hot dogs and beverages. The tailgate is on us!

Capital's James Starks picked off a Danny Jones (Pleasanton, CA/Amador Valley) pass at the Capital 30 yard line and returned to the Whitewater 23. Two plays Zac McKenzie put Capital in front with a one yard run.
Whitewater took the ensuing kickoff and marched 69 yards in 12 plays to even the game at 7-7. Justin Beaver (Palmyra/Palmyra-Eagle) ran the last four yards for the score.
Warhawk linebacker Tristan Borzick (Kenosha/Tremper) picked off a Robbie Thayer pass at the Capital 45, returned it 20 yards to the 25 to set up Whitewater's next score. On the fourth play after the turnover Jones ran it in from 15 yards out to make it 14-7 Whitewater.
Capital put together a long drive of its own after the kickoff, going 64 yards in just six plays, with Thayer hitting Evan Blake for a 32-yard TD to knot the score at 14-14 with 1:46 left in the half.
With little time remaining, the Warhawks managed to cover 64 yards in six play and 1:10. Jones rushed for his second TD, this time six yards, with 0:29 left in the half. A missed extra point made it 20-14 Whitewater at the half.
After a scoreless third quarter, Whitewater's defense provided the next score. With Capital on its 15 yard line, Warhawk defensive end Ryan Ogrizovich (Burlington/Burlington) rushed the passer and took the ball out of Thayer's cocked arm and took in for the score. Whitewater led 27-14.
A turnover also played a role in the final score of the game. Ben Farley (Brookfield/East) picked off a Thayer pass and Whitewater took possesion at its 36. Three plays later Jones found Neil Mrkvicka (Greendale/Greendale) with a 50 yard scoring pass to make the final score 34-14.
Whitewater rushed for 197 yards, with Beaver accounting for 122 of those yards on 28 carries. The Warhawk defense limited the Crusaders to 32 yards on 27 attempts. Senior linebacker AJ Raebel (Cary Grove, IL/Cary Grove) recorded ten tackles (8 solo) to move in to first place in the school record book with 322 career tackles. Jones accounted for three TD's, two running and one passing. Wide receiver Mondo Ancona caught eight passes for 84 to lead the Crusader offense, and linebacker Pete Ankrom led the Crusader defense with eight tackles and a forced fumble.
UW-Whitewater ran its winning streak in Perkins Stadium to twenty-two games, dating back to the final game of the 2004 season. Capital, ranked fourteenth, ended its season 8-3. UW-W, ranked second in all three national Division III polls, will host North Central Saturday in the second round of the NCAA playoffs. North Central earned a berth in the NCAA playoffs by winning the College Conference of Illinois. The Cardinals defeated Franklin College 44-42 in a first round game played in Franklin, Indiana Saturday afternoon.
UW-W is making its third consecutive appearance in the NCAA III playoffs. The Warhawks advanced to the Stagg Bowl, the Division III championship game, in 2005 and 2006.
