Warhawks Defeat Pointers to Remain Undefeated in Conference

The Warhawk women's tennis team is now 3-0 in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference as they defeated UW-Stevens Point 8-1 on the road on Tuesday.  The Warhawks are 5-2 overall while the Pointers are 1-4 in the WIAC and 5-5 overall.

 

Tiffany Dawson (Cary, IL/Cary Grove) (senior, Cary, Ill./Cary Grove) remained undefeated in dual matches at the number five singles position as she defeated Kaitlyn King of UW-Stevens Point in straight sets, dropping only one game in the match.

 

The number two doubles pair of Jessica Farrar (Rock Island, IL/Rock Island) (senior, Rock Island, Ill.) and Lauren Fahl (Brookfield/Brookfield Central) (freshman, Brookfield/Central) also remained undefeated in dual matches by knocking off Kaitlyn King and Mashell VerBockel of UW-Stevens Point.

Women's tennis will compete again on Friday, October 5, as they travel to UW-Eau Claire for a 3:30 pm match.  The Warhawks will continue their road trip through the weekend when they are at UW-La Crosse to face off against the hosting Eagles and Lawrence University.  The team will compete at home again on October 10 when they host UW-Oshkosh and Concordia (WI) at the Wangerin Courts at 3:30 pm and 6:30 pm.
