UW-Whitewater defeated UW-Green Bay 5-4 Saturday in a match played in Whitewater, Wisconsin.
On Homecoming and Senior Day UW-Whitewater improved their overall record to 11-2 in dual meets.
With their win against Division 1 UW-Green Bay, Jessica Farrar (Rock Island, IL/Rock Island) and Lauren Fahl (Brookfield/Brookfield Central) remain undefeated in doubles, improving their record to 7-0. Fahl has a team best 14-1 singles record. Brittany Gering (Greendale/Greendale) and Amy Siemon (Crystal Lake, IL/Crystal Lake South) moved to 13-1 in doubles on the season

UW-Whitewater will travel to the Nielsen Tennis Stadium at UW-Madison to compete in the WIAC Conference Championship Tournament on October 20-21. The top four team finishers at the Conference Championships advance to a tournament in the spring to decide who earns the automatic bid for the NCAA tournament. The Warhawks went 6-0 in conference duel meets this season and last won the conference tournament in 2004.
