Young led the second-ranked Warhawks with a career-high 11 tackles, including one for a loss, three pass breakups and one interception in the team's 31-17 victory over NAIA No. 2 Morningside (Iowa) on Saturday at Perkins Stadium. On the Mustangs' first drive of the game, Young picked off Trent Solsma and returned it 43 yards to Morningside's 8-yard line to help set up a UW-Whitewater touchdown two plays later. He also assisted on a crucial tackle early in the second quarter to force a fourth down, which the Mustangs failed to convert deep in Warhawk territory. Young's interception was the first of his career.
