Hayberger finished as runner-up in the 500-yard freestyle and was fourth in the 200-yard freestyle and 13th in the 100-yard freestyle to contribute 36 points to the Warhawks’ team score and help the team finish fourth at the Wheaton (Ill.) Invitational on Friday and Saturday. His time of 4:41.71 in the 500 free currently ranks second in the WIAC and is the No. 9 time in the event in program history. Hayberger’s time of 1:44.92 in the 200 free is also his personal record and the best mark on the team so far in 2021-22. He was also a part of all three of UW-Whitewater’s top finishing freestyle relays, helping the 400 and 800 free relay squads place fifth.
