DeMeyer batted .476 (10-for-21) last week with one home run, 11 runs scored and 12 runs batted in to help the No. 7 Warhawks post a 6-0 record and clinch the WIAC regular season championship. He added three walks, two hit-by-pitches, three sacrifice flies and two stolen bases and didn’t commit an error in the field. In the second game of UW-W’s doubleheader against UW-Stout on May 2, DeMeyer registered three hits, one stolen base, two runs scored and a season-high five RBIs during the team’s 12-4 victory. He tallied three hits, including one home run, with three runs scored and three RBIs in UW-Whitewater’s 16-3 win in seven innings at UW-Platteville in Game 2 on Friday. He closed the four-game series against the Pioneers Saturday with four hits, one walk, one stolen base, two runs scored and three RBIs in the Warhawks’ two-game sweep.
