Nierman fought back from a second-set loss to defeat Hannah Hougland 6-3, 5-7, 6-4 playing at No. 2 singles for the first time in 2021 to help the Warhawks to a 7-2 triumph against North Central (Ill.) on Friday in Lake Geneva. Her win helped UW-W claim five of the six singles matches. Nierman is now 3-3 in singles play this season.
