Duff broke a school record with a 5,109 in the heptathlon and placed first out of 12 competitors to help the No. 12 Warhawks finish second at the nine-team “Squig” Converse Invitational on Friday at Kachel Fieldhouse. Duff’s score, which is adjusted to 5,133 nationally due to track size, ranks No. 1 in NCAA Division III. His mark of 23-06.25 (7.18 meters) in the long jump stands sixth in the nation and first in the WIAC. Duff also ranks fifth nationally and first in the conference in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.17, which was recorded at the North Central Cardinal Opener on Jan. 19.
