Kaska tossed 17 shutout innings in two starts last week, helping the No. 22 Warhawks to wins in both games. On March 25, he shut out fellow 2018 NCAA Regional qualifier Franklin (Ind.) over eight innings, allowing only four hits and one walk while striking out 12 in UW-Whitewater's 6-3 victory in Auburndale, Fla. On Saturday at Miller Stadium against St. Scholastica (Minn.), Kaska pitched a complete-game, four-hit shutout, and tallied a career-high 17 strikeouts, second-most in one game in program history. He stranded 10 baserunners in the team's 2-0 win. With the two performances, Kaska lowered his earned run average to 1.80 for the year, and has 40 strikeouts in 25 innings.
