Wenszell placed first in all three events he competed in on Saturday to help the Warhawks split a triple dual against Lawrence and host Lake Forest (Ill.). He posted a time of 2:15.17 in the 200-meter individual medley, which converts to 2:01.6 for the 200-yard IM, a strong performance coming off two weeks of hard training. Wenszell also competed in the 200-meter medley relay and 400-meter freestyle relay, helping both of those squads place first. He swam the butterfly leg of the 200 medley relay, which crossed the finish line in 1:52.33 to beat runner-up Lawrence by just over one second, and swam third for the 400 free relay, which posted a 3:43.75, just over a quarter of a second faster than the next-closest team.Â
