Baumann won the discus with a season-best throw and placed third in the shot put on Friday at the UW-Platteville Invitational. His mark of 168-00 (51.22 meters) in the discus currently ranks first in the WIAC and fourth in the nation. Baumann's top result in the shot put currently ranks No. 1 in the nation. He recorded a 55-09.25 (17.00 meters) at Friday's meet. Baumann is a six-time All-American during his career, including five times in the shot put and once in the discus.
