Celeste Madda (Crystal Lake, Ill./Central), Sophomore
Madda posted a pair of the nation's top times in two events on Friday at the Rex Foster Invitational at Rex Foster Track in Whitewater. She finished first out of 15 runners in the preliminaries of the 100-meter dash with a career-best time of 12.01 seconds, good for first in the WIAC and a tie for sixth in NCAA Division III. Madda also finished first in the 200-meter dash, topping a field of 23 competitors with a result of 24.90, the best of her career, the top time in the WIAC and the sixth-best time in the nation.
