Football game day at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater — a staple of fall Saturdays on the Whitewater campus and throughout the local community — will have a new feature inside Perkins Stadium.
The Champions Club will make its debut at the Warhawks' game against Carleton this Saturday, Sept. 6, at 1 p.m.
Located in the north end zone of Perkins Stadium, the Champions Club is a new social area where fans ages 21 and older can relax, catch up with fellow Warhawks, and watch the six-time national champion UW-Whitewater football team. The club includes access to a full-service cash bar and unique sight lines to the field.
"We are excited to launch the Champions Club to enhance our game day experience and build camaraderie among our dedicated fans," said Ryan Callahan, Director of Athletics. "I'm confident that it'll become one of the many traditions people enjoy when they come to Perkins Stadium.
"I'd like to thank our campus partners — especially UW-Whitewater Police, the University Center, and Warhawk Dining — for helping us make an already great atmosphere even better."
More information about the Champions Club, including policies, procedures, and answers to possible questions, is available here.
UW-Whitewater annually ranks among NCAA Division III leaders in both average attendance and cumulative season attendance. Last season, a Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference record 21,233 fans watched the Warhawks defeat UW-Oshkosh. The attendance mark is also the highest ever recorded for a Division III game played on a college campus.
