Warhawks Cruise to 4-0 Rout of Kohawks

Dobrinska makes 7 saves in shut-out win

The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater women's soccer team secured a decisive 4-0 victory over Coe College at Clark Field on Saturday. Jude Dobrinska (Milwaukee, Wis./Ronald Reagan College Prep) played the full 90 in goal, making seven saves in the shutout.

Coe was able to put a few early shots on goal, but Dobrinska started her shutout day making four saves in the early minutes.

Jenna Laidlaw (Aberdeen, Scotland/Aberdeen Grammar) put pressure on early for the Warhawks with three shots on goal, but it was Genevieve Simkowski (Oak Park, Ill./Oak Park-River Forest) who broke through in the 25th minute to put UWW ahead 1-0.

It was all the Warhawks after the break, scoring three more in the second half of the game. The scoring started with a solo goal by Anna Gunderson (Mukwonago, Wis./Mukwonago) in the 55th minute, extending the lead to 2-0. The offensive push continued with Karina Osborn (Arena, Wis./River Valley) finding the net in the 66th minute, thanks to an assist from Aria Patel (Naperville, Ill./Waubonsie Valley). Lilli Rick (Janesville, Wis./Janesville Craig) sealed the victory with a goal in the 85th minute, assisted by Simkowski, to give UWW a decisive 4-0 win over the Kohawks.
