The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater women's tennis team claimed their 17th Team Tournament Title with wins over UW-Stevens Point and UW-Eau Claire in the WIAC Final Four AQ Tournament Presented by Culver's

UWW Women's Tennis will make their 17th consecutive NCAA team tournament appearance. More information will be released from https://www.ncaa.com/sports/tennis-women/d3.

The Warhawks started off the day against UW-Stevens Point in the First Round. The three doubles flights all went in favor of UWW, giving them a quick point in the to-decision match.

Abigail Weaver (Wakarusa, Ind./Mishawaka Marian) was the first match to finish, picking up the first singles point with a clean two sets, not dropping a single game. Shortly after, Crystina Lee (Downers Grove, Ill./Timothy Christian) and Gracie Ha (Palatine, Ill./Fremd) each picked up their respective matches, with a 4-0 sweep to reach the championship round. 

In the Championship, the Warhawks met with UW-Eau Claire, who beat UW-La Crosse in a very close 4-3 first round match. 

UWW took the doubles point with a win at all three flights. Ha and Weaver came from behind, 2-5, winning the match after 5 straight games. 

Heading into the singles, the two teams were evenly matched with the team tournament on the line. Out of the six singles flights, three first sets went to the Warhawks, while the Blugolds picked up the other three sets.

Abigail Weaver (Wakarusa, Ind./Mishawaka Marian) was the first to claim a team point, with a 6-2, 6-2 victory at the third flight. Molly Asfled grabbed hers as well, with a 6-2, 6-2 victory at No. 2 singles to give the Warhawks a 3-0 lead.

UW-Eau Claire picked up the fifth singles set for their first team point of the match, but Alex Repplier (Champlin, Minn./Champlin Park) secured the decisive match with a 6-3, 6-4 victory at the fourth flight. 

With the win, the Warhawks claimed their 17th consecutive WIAC Team Tournament Title and will be dancing into the NCAA Tournament yet again.
