The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater women's tennis team picked up two wins in a doubleheader on Sunday. The Warhawks edged out North Central, 4-3, in the afternoon match, and then defeating Carthage in a quick 6-1 match to end the evening.

Against the Cardinals, UWW collected the doubles point with the help of wins from Molly Asfeld (Waukesha, Wis./West) and Crystina Lee (Downers Grove, Ill./Timothy Christian) at the second flight, while Alex Repplier (Champlin, Minn./Champlin Park) and Ava Andrae (Cedarburg, Wis./) won their third flight, 6-3. 

With the help of the doubles point, the Warhawks just needed to pick up three singles flights to secure the match. Asfled took her match with two straight 7-5 sets as Crystina Lee (Downers Grove, Ill./Timothy Christian) took the sixth flight with a quick 6-1, 6-1 win.

Repplier came away with the final need flight in the third set tiebreak. Repplier opened the match without dropping a game in the first set, but Ezerskis from NCC took the second. Repplier closed out the match and secured the win with a 10-7 tiebreaker win.

Against Carthage College, the Warhawks only lost one doubles and one singles flight en route to a 6-1 victory. Gracie Ha (Palatine, Ill./Fremd) And Abigail Weaver (Wakarusa, Ind./Mishawaka Marian) won their flight at No. 1 doubles 7-5, with Repplier/Andrae secruing the point with a 6-2 win at flight No. 3. 

UWW took 5 of the 6 singles flight. Carthage only had one set where they collected over four games in those Warhawk singles flights.

Women's Tennis will have one more match before hosting the WIAC AQ tourney on April 26th. UWW heads to second-ranked UChicago on April 19th for a dual match against the Maroons.
