The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater women's tennis team competed against NCAA Division I Northern Illinois University in a dual match on Sunday night.
At the doubles flights, Northern Illinois took the team point, but the Warhawks gave a fight at the first flight.
Gracie Ha (Palatine, Ill./Fremd) &
Abigail Weaver (Wakarusa, Ind./Mishawaka Marian) battled to a 2-2 tie, but the No. 1 doubles pair won four games straight to take the match.
Ha (at No. 1 singles) and Weaver (at No. 3 singles) each won four games in the first set of their respeictve matches, but the NIU singles took the second sets to win those matches.
In the singles flight,
Crystina Lee (Downers Grove, Ill./Timothy Christian) was the last match to finish at No. 6 singles. Lee was on one game away from taking the first set, but the Huskies player, took three games in a row to win the first set 7-5. Lee dropped the second set 3-6.
After the tough match against the Division I program, the Warhawks will head out to California for their Spring Break Trip. UWW will start off with a dual match against Chapman University on March 23rd.Â
