The UW-Whitewater women's track and field team finished second at the team's annual Leonard "Squig" Converse Invitational hosted by the Warhawks in Kachel Fieldhouse.

Three top finishes bolstered UWW Saturday. Kenni Czarnecki (Muskego, Wis./Muskego) notched a new personal best to win the weight throw. Her heave of 18.17 meters (59-7.5) is the second-best mark in program history and currently sixth in Division III this season. Czarnecki added seventh place points to the team total with a toss of 11.74 meters (38-6.25) in the shot put.

Meanwhile Brynn Fuerstenberg (New Berlin, Wis./Eisenhower) led a three-Warhawk contingent to finish among the top eight in the high jump. She shared first place honors with a height of 1.62 meters (5-3.75) - a new personal best, a top 10 mark in the UWW record book and a top 30 mark in the Division III indoor performance list for the season. Danielle Pouska (Algonquin, Ill./Jacobs) added a fifth place finish while Zoe Roder (Waukesha, Wis./South) was seventh in the event.
