Whitewater, Wis. -- The UW-Whitewater women's track and field team hosted its final home meet of the 2026 outdoor campaign - the Drake Alternative - Saturday on a beautiful day in Whitewater.
The Warhawk sprinters - specifically the 200 squad - provided a highlight on the day. UW-Whitewater claimed six of the top eight spots in the event including three Warhawks that posted top 30 times in Division III.
Kelly Huerta (McHenry, Ill./McHenry) led the way with the fastest time of the day and the tenth fastest nationally, 24.29.
Cici Stennett (Barrington, Ill./Barrington) was just a tenth of a second back to finish as the runner-up. Her 24.39 is ranked 15th on the DIII outdoor list. In third, Hannah Wahl-Bilodeau was clocked in 24.65 for a third national top 30 mark in the event for UWW.
Alyssa Stacy (Sycamore, Ill./Sycamore) claimed fourth (24.69) while
Danielle Pouska (Algonquin, Ill./Jacobs) finished sixth (24.87) and
Sophie Beightol (Belgium, Wis./Cedar Grove-Belgium) eighth (25.04).
The 100 also saw a pair of Warhawks claim the top two spots.
Angela Dale (Milwaukee, Wis./Nicolet) posted the fastest time in the fastest event of the day - 12.38. Beightol was the runner-up with a clocking of 12.42.
Maddy Bratel (Oak Creek, Wis./Oak Creek) finished fourth after crossing the line in 12.73.
Katie Erb (Winnebago, Ill./Winnebago) picked up another gold for UWW with a season best clocking in the 800. Erb stopped the clock in 2:17.49.
Emma Henningfeld (East Troy, Wis./East Troy) was fifth (2:22.13),
Carleen Snow (Rio, Wis./DeForest) sixth (2:22.72) and
Brinley Everson (Waunakee, Wis./Waunakee) seventh (2:23.34) in the event.
Kiersten Dellar (Waukesha, Wis./Watertown Lutheran Prep) secured silver in the 400 with a time of 58.68.
Ella Hansen (Pewaukee, Wis./UW-Parkside) added a top eight finish in the 1500 crossing the line in 4:55.04 for seventh.
In the hurdles,
Hannah Pergande (Hazel Green, Wis./Southwestern) was the top Division III finisher in the 100 version. Her time of 15.48 was good for fifth. Aubrey Schreiber crossed the line in 1:10.21 to finish third in the 400 hurdles.
In the field events,
Ryleigh Czarnecki (Muskego, Wis./Muskego) posted a pair of top five finishes in the throws. She was fourth in the hammer with a mark of 47.21 meters and fifth in the discus with a season best distance of 42.69 meters.
Lexie Weier (Mineral Point, WI/Mineral Point) was the top Division III finisher in the triple jump. Her leap of 11.18 meters was good for bronze while
Maya Nail (Elgin, Ill/Larkin) was seventh in the event (10.37 meters).
Kaitlin Sturycz (Kenosha, Wis./Westosha Central) paced the Warhawk long jumpers with a fourth place mark of 5.03 meters.
Ava Falk (Kaneland, IL/Kaneland) finished sixth in the event with a leap of 4.86 meters.
Pouska added a fourth place finish in the high jump while
Madi Brown (Brodhead, Wis./Brodhead-Juda) claimed fifth - both cleared a height of 1.55 meters.
Brynn Fuerstenberg (New Berlin, Wis./Eisenhower) was seventh and
Zoe Roder (Waukesha, Wis./South) eighth after clearing 1.50 meters. In the pole vault, Snow added a sixth place height of 3.38 meters.
The meet wrapped up with the 4x400. Fuerstenberg, Bratel,
Addi Kowalewski (Hartland, Wis./Arrowhead) and Erb combined for the top time in the event - 4:15.16.
