Ari De La Cerda (Milwaukee, Wis./Pewaukee) represented the UW-Whitewater women's track and field program in the 3,000-meter run at the John Thomas Terrier Classic hosted by Boston University Friday.
In a field featuring more than 160 runners from the professional ranks and all divisions of the NCAA, De La Cerda registered a seven-second personal best time of 10:04.22. The senior finished 102nd as one of the top runners representing a Division III institution in the race.
Christian Patzka, Gunner Schlender and Dan Anderson will compete in the men's 3,000 in Boston Saturday. UW-Whitewater is also hosting the annual Squig Converse Invitational this weekend that features men's competition Friday and women's competition Saturday.
