Women's Soccer Unable to Answer First Half Goal

The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater women's soccer team fell to MSOE 1-0 on the road. MSOE's lone goal in the first half was the difference. 

1st Half
Brittany Ellinghaus (Plainfield, Ill./North) looked to get things started for the Warhawks, taking teh first shot on goal of the game at the 8-minute mark. 

The Raiders opened up the scoreboard with a set-piece goal after a UWW foul. With the free kick just outside the penalty box, MSOE found the opposite side of thet net to make it 1-0. 

The Warhawks put on three more shots on goal, looking to find the equalizer before the half, but none of which finding the back of the net past the MSOE keeper.

2nd Half
Down by one the Warhawks looked to get going offensively, but the MSOE defense didn't allow a shot on goal until the final 5 minutes.

Brooklyn Carlson put on two shots on goal in the final few minutes, but the Raiders' keeper made both saves, closing out the 1-0 game.
