The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater men's soccer team fell in an offensive shoot-out with Edgewood College. Each team recorded 15+ shots with seven on goal. The Eagles came out on top 4-1.
First Half
The Eagles jumped out to a quick lead over the Warhawks, scoring in the first 10 minutes, then extended their leadÂ
Down 2-0, the Warhawks maintained some offensive pressure hunting for a goal. UWW closed the gap with
Aidian Martin (Menomonee Falls, Wis./Menomonee Falls) scoring his first collegiate goal to make the game 2-1.
The Warhawks looked to tie it up before heading into the break, getting multiple looks on net.
Cooper Re (Kimberly, Wis./Kimberly) missed just right on a 1-v-1 breakaway and
Luka Breslin (Dublin, Ireland/Terenure College) had a defender block his shot that was on track for the back of the net.Â
Second Half
The second half started back-and-forth, but the Eagles found the bracer in the 65th minute to go up 3-1.
The Warhawks could not answer back, only recording two shots on goal in the second half. The Eagles scored another goal to increase the lead to three with just 10 minutes remaining in the half.Â

The Warhawk men's soccer team will take on Loras College in the annual Duhawk Cup on October 1st. The game will be the second game of the night after a double-header with the women's soccer team. The Warhawks currently hold the Duhawk Cup after a 3-3 tie last year, defaulting back to UWW's 3-1 win in 2022.Â
