The No. 3 University of Wisconsin-Whitewater women's volleyball team cruised to a 3-0 (25-14, 25-12, 25-8) sweep over UW-La Crosse on the road Wednesday evening.
The Warhawks offense hit a phenomenal .438 with 39 kills in the three-setter. Meanwhile the defense held the Eagles to single digits in the kills column each set and to a negative attack percentage in two sets.
A fantastic second set bolstered the win. UWW hammered down 16 kills in 29 without committing a single attack error as a team. For the match, the Warhawks registered just four miscues on the offensive attack.
Alayna Jansky (Mukwonago, Wis./Mukwonago) was nearly unstoppable on the outside with 11 kills in 16 attempts with zero attack errors. She added a solo and three block assists, an ace and eight digs in the contest. Fellow outside
Jenna Weinfurt (Waukesha, Wis./Catholic Memorial) pounded down 12 kills in 22 attempts with a single error.
Aubrie Krzus (Wheaton, Ill./Warrenville South) posted 26 assists in the match and added five assist blocks.

Jaedynn Evans (Kalona, Iowa/Iowa City Regina) led the Warhawks with 13 digs. At the net,
Abbie Dix (Brodhead, Wis./Brodhead) was a force assisting on 8 of the teams 12 total blocks.
UW-Whitewater will head to Lexington, Kentucky for an invitational hosted by Transylvania this weekend. The Warhawks are slated to take on No. 4 Hope College Friday at noon (CT) followed by a 4 pm (CT) matchup with the host, the No. 25 Pioneers, on Saturday.
