The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater women's tennis team completed the 9-0 sweep of UW-Stevens Point in a Conference showdown on Tuesday afternoon.

The Warhawks took the first three points at the doubles flights, with no doubles pair dropping more than 3 games in the sweep.

UW-Whitewater sealed the match with two wins at #5 and #6 singles. Sarah Ferguson (Oak Creek, Wis./Oak Creek) picked up the 5th flight with a 6-1, 6-0 victory with Crystina Lee (Downers Grove, Ill./Timothy Christian) defeating the Pointers #6-singles 6-1, 6-1. 

Rounding out the match, Abigail Weaver took her singles flight with another 6-1, 6-1 win. Molly Asfeld (Waukesha, Wis./West) and Cassie Lee (Downers Grove, Ill./Timothy Christian) both finished up their respective flights soon after. Asfeld didn't drop a game in the first set at #3-singles and took the match in a 6-3 second set. Lee only lost one game her entire match, winning 6-1, 6-0 at the top singles flight. 

The last match to finish was at the #2-singles flight, with Gracie Ha (Palatine, Ill./Fremd) taking her opponent into a third-set tiebreaker. Ha dropped the first set 3-6 but bounced back in the second 6-2. Ha carried the momentum forward, winning the third-set match tiebreaker 10-6.

The Warhawks are back out on the UW-Whitewater Courts on October 4th and 5th as they host the Warhawk Fall Invite. More information on the Invite will be released when available.
