The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater women's soccer team played out Carthage to a stalemate through 90 minutes.
First Half
The Warhawks put on some pressure early in the game, putting on 12 shots in the first half alone. Five of those went to the goal, but the Carthage keeper kept the game scoreless, holding off the Warhawk attack.
Jude Dobrinska (Milwaukee, Wis./Ronald Reagan College Prep) made the save on the Firebirds' lone shot on goal in the first 45 minutes.
Emily Thill (West Chicago, Ill./St. Francis) and
Avery Haisman (Shakopee, Minn./) each had two shots on goal in the first half,
Gianna Zamborini (Louisville, Ken/duPont Manual) had one.Â
Second Half
The Carthage defense managed to slow down the offensive attack from the Warhawks, but UW-Whitewater put on two more shots on the net.
Carthage picked up their own offensive pressure, putting three shots on goal in the second half, but both were saved by the Warhawk goalie.Â
Both goalies played the full 90 minutes, each picking up the clean sheet in the stalemate.Â
