The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater women's tennis wrapped up the Midwest Invite on Saturday, falling to No. 37 North Central College.
The Warhawks, ranked No. 38, picked up one double flights, before the Cardinals closed out the match winning the singles flights, 4-2.
Alex Repplier (Champlin,MN/Champlin Park) and Mackenzie Lindow won the Warhawks lone double flight. The pair was down 7-4 before winning three sets in a row to force the tiebreak. The tiebreaker was back-and-forth but Repplier & Lindow carried the momentum, winning the tiebreak 10-8.
Repplier would go on to win her singles flight, with a 6-3, 6-3 victory at #5 singles.
The last match to finish up was at the #4 singles flight, lasting right at two hours.
Molly Asfeld (Waukesha, Wis./West) came away with the win in the third set match tiebreak. After dropping the first set 6-4, Asfeld battled back and took the second set 7-5, sending the match into the tiebreak. Asfeld took a 4-0 lead in the tiebreak, eventually winning the set 10-6.
