The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater men's and women's tennis teams both picked up dominant wins in Hilton Head Island on their Spring Trip.

The Women's team defeated George Fox 8-1 on Tuesday morning, sweeping the doubles and going 5-1 in the singles flights.

Gracie Ha (Palatine, Ill./Fremd) finished out the meet with a third set tiebreak win. After winning the first set 6-1, Ha found herself down 4-0 in the second set. Ha battled back, tying it 4-4, but her opponent got the last two games, forcing a third set tiebreak. Ha picked up the win in the third set tiebreak, 10-5.

The Men's team swept Oberlin with a 9-0 win. At #1 doubles Luke VanDonslear (Marion, Iowa/Linn Mar) and Reuben Giorgio (Perth, Western Australia/Applecross) swept their opponents 8-0, with Tyler Nelson (Waunakee, Wis./Waunakee) and Payton Adkisson (Lincolnshire, Ill./Stevenson) doing the same at #3 doubles with a quick 19-minute match.

In the singles flights, only one Oberlin player won more than 3 games in a match.

With their spring trip over. The Warhawks will return home to Wisconsin, the women will prepare for the Midwest Invite on April 5th & 6th in Madison, Wis. The men will prepare for their first ever WIAC meet against UW-Stevens Point on April 7th.

Both teams also await their new ITA rankings, schedule to release tomorrow, March 27th.
