The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater men's and women's track and field teams topped the leaderboard at the Big Dawg Invite hosted by UW-Stevens Point Saturday.

UW-Whitewater had multiple event winners over the course of the meet. In the 60-meter dash,
Jacqueline Kornowski (Green Bay, Wis./Preble) was first to cross the finish line with a time of 8.04 just a one-hundredth of a second ahead of teammate
Maddie Buehler (Whitewater, Wis./Whitewater).
Danielle Pouska (Algonquin, IL/Jacobs) and
Eden Bowen (Lancaster, Wis./Lancaster) finished fourth and fifth in the event respectively. On the men's side, the Warhawks also secured the top two spots led by
Shelvin Garrett II (Beloit, Wis./Memorial) with a mark of 6.98.
Ben Bojar (Pewaukee, Wis./Pewaukee) followed with a time of 7.01.
Caleb Beightol (Belgium, Wis./Cedar Grove-Belgium),
Nick McFadden (Waukesha, Wis./Pewaukee) and
Andy VanZile (New Berlin, Wis./West) also finished among the top eight.
UWW's
Hannah Bilodeau (Machesney Park, IL/Harlem) and
Chris Kalies (Grafton, Wis./Grafton) claimed gold in the 400-meters. Bilodeau led a four-Warhawk contingent in the women's race to finish in the top eight with a time of 1:01.05. Kalies was clocked in 50.75 with teammate
Brad Heller (Brookfield, WI/East) taking silver with a time of 51.82.
Kobe Chandler (Beloit, WI/Memorial) was the first runner to cross in the 200 posting a time of 22.76.
Makai Johnson (Delavan, Wis./Delavan-Darien),
Wyatt Baker (Wayzata, MN/),
Tamir Thomas (Menomonee Falls, Wis./Menomonee Falls) and
Max Leibham (Hartland, WI/Lake Country Lutheran) also finished in the top eight in the event.
Three UWW runners finished among the top three in the 800.
Katie Erb (Winnebago, Ill./Winnebago) and
Ari De La Cerda (Milwaukee, Wis./Pewaukee) finished back-to-back in second and third with times of 2:24.21 and 2:24.91 respectively. For the men,
Craig Hundley's (Grayslake, IL/North) time of 1:57.05 was good for third.
The mile saw ten Warhawks add points to the team totals.
Tucker Johnson (Poynette, Wis./Poynette) won the men's race with a time of 4:25.24 while
Jonah Block (Whitefish Bay, Wis./Whitefish Bay),
Chris Allen (Downers Grove, Ill./North),
Alex Metko (Brillion, Wis./Brillion),
Brandon Massman (Belvidere, Ill./North) and Conner Murphy swept third through seventh. A contingent of four swept fourth through seventh in the women's race with
Renee Forystek (Waukesha, WI/North) leading the way with a clocking of 5:27.63 followed by
Abbey Wedwick (Westby, WI/),
Emma Shingledecker (New Berlin, Wis./West) and
Nicole Brown (Grayslake, IL).
Thomas and
Marlon Cystrunk (DeForest, Wis./DeForest) paced the field in the 60 hurdles. Thomas' 8.38 was tops with Cystrunk claiming silver with a time of 8:40.
Tristan Ropiak (Racine, Wis./St. Catherine's) and
Cole Worrall (Rhinelander, WI/) also placed in the event.
Lena Becker (Toulon, Ill./Stark County) led the Warhawk women in the event with a time of 9.58 for second-place.
Morgan Amend (Markesan, Wis./Markesan) was sixth in the event.
In the relays, UWW's combination of
Drew Davey (Elkhorn, WI/),
Josh Anhalt (West Bend, Wis./Kettle Moraine Lutheran),
Colin Lewandowski (Elmhurst, Ill./York) and
Rhett Reuter (Darlington, Wis./Darlington) posted the top time (3:32.25) in the 4x400.
Gracie Holland (Marshfield, Wis./Marshfield) led UW-Whitewater in the field events as the Warhawks swept the top five spots in the pole vault. Her height of 3.81 meters won the event by nearly two feet.
Ella Maher (Rockford, Ill./Winnebago),
Zoe Jenks-Recker (Cottage Grove, Wis./Monona Grove),
Malerie Morey (Sycamore, Ill./Sycamore) and
Carleen Snow (Rio, Wis./DeForest) added points to the team total with top eight finishes in the event.
Brady Schaller (Winnebago, Ill./Winnebago) posted a height of 4.26 meters to finish second on the men's side.
Adam Giljohann (Menomonie, Wis./Menomonie) added a sixth-place finish.
Jared Sudbrink (Grafton, Wis./Grafton) and
Spencer Steffen (Appleton, Wis./West) registered matching heights of 1.85 meters to finish in fourth and fifth respectively in the high jump.
Rebecca Lawrence (Rhinelander, Wis./Rhinelander) was fourth with a leap of 1.45 meters with teammate
Kiara McKowen (New Berlin, Wis./Eisenhower) taking seventh.
In the horizontal jumps,
Aiden Neduzak (Nekoosa, Wis./Nekoosa) (6.20 meters) was fifth in the long jump while
Ethan Molzahn (Wauconda, IL/) (6.13 meters) finished seventh.
Connor Anderson (Waukesha, Wis./North) (12.34 meters) added fourth-place points in the triple jump.
Kenni Czarnecki (Muskego, Wis./Muskego) led UWW in the throws. Her heave of 16.96 meters was best in the weight throw by over three feet.
Mikayla Madlena (Stevens Point, Wis./SPASH) tied for third with a throw of 15.77 meters. Czarnecki added seventh-place points to the team total in the shot put with a toss of 11.86 meters. On the men's side,
Sean Larsen's (Waukesha, Wis./South) heave of 15.91 meters in the weight throw was good for fourth.
Tyler Jensen (Hilbert, Wis./Hilbert) finished sixth in the event. Jordan Jackson registered a mark of 13.52 meters in the shot put to finish sixth.
