The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater defeated North Central College 6-3 in Lake Geneva on Friday night. 

The Warhawks opened up the night with a 2-1 edge after the doubles flight, Reuben Giorgio (Perth, Western Australia/Applecross) and Luke VanDonslear (Marion, Iowa/Linn Mar) came out with the win at the #1 flight, 8-4 in a 42-minute match. However, the quickest match of the night belonged to Josh Baldwin (Sun Prairie, Wis./Sun Prairie) and Drew Van Fossen (Germantown, Wis./Germantown), as they won the #3 doubles flight, 8-3, in only 38-minutes.

The singles flight was closely contested, with only two of the six lasting under 80 minutes. 

Theo Billson (Brighton, UK/BHASVIK) at #5 singles and Tyler Nelson (Waunakee, Wis./Waunakee) at #3 singles were the first set to finish. Billson took the first set 6-3, before taking the second set 7-6 in a 7-2 tiebreak. Nelson took the #3 singles flight in straight sets, 6-4, 6-1, putting the Warhawks up 4-1.

Reuben Giorgio (Perth, Western Australia/Applecross) secured the win for the Warhawks at the #2 singles flight. Giorgio won his first set 6-2, before taking a tight tiebreaker 7-5 to give him the second set 7-6.

Will Ulrich (Lincoln, Neb./Pius X) finished the night with a win, giving the Warhawks the 6-3 victory. Ulrich took a close first set 7-6, winning in the set tiebreak 7-5. Ulrich finished out his match with a 6-1 second set.
