Warhawks with Offensive Showcase on Senior Night; Down Stout 7-0

Kiraly with hat-trick; 24 total SOG for UWW

The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater men's soccer team had an offensive showcase in their regular season finale against UW-Stout. The Warhawks took 24 shots on goal, scoring seven on their way to the victory.

With the win, the Warhawks locked in the 4th seed in the WIAC play-offs. The Warhawks will host their first round game against UW-Stevens Point on Wednesday, November 6th at 7 PM on Fiskum Field.

First Half
With the 10 Warhawk seniors on the field, UWW didn't waste any time getting on the board. In the first minute, Jacob Mouille (Waunakee, Wis./Waunakee) attacked the corner before crossing it to Tucker Jahns (Elburn, Ill./Kaneland), Jahns made the extra pass Miles Hagen (New Lenox, Ill./Lincoln-Way West), who scored the first Warhawk goal.

The second goal came in the 9th minute, as Jahns dished out another assist to Mouille to put the Warhawks up 2-0.

The Warhawks put up nine more shots on goal in the first 45-minutes, but Stout's goalie kept the game at 2-0 heading into the break.

Second Half
The 10 Warhawk seniors were honored at halftime: Miles Hagen (New Lenox, Ill./Lincoln-Way West), Zach Kristy, Jacob Mouille (Waunakee, Wis./Waunakee), Sean Harris (Eagan, Minn./Eastview), Faizan Mohiuddin (South Elgin, Ill./St. Charles North), Fionnbharr Hartnett (Oconomowoc, Wis./Oconomowoc), Dominic Mudlaff (Muskego, Wis./Waukesha Catholic Memorial), Peyton Nichols (Green Bay, Wis./Bayport), Tucker Jahns (Elburn, Ill./Kaneland), and Matthew Vollmer (Lake Zurich, Ill./Lake Zurich).

In the second half, the Warhawks continued their offensive dominance, but this time, the freshman & sophomores were given the keys to the car.

James Kiraly (Twin Lakes, WI/Wilmot Union) started the second half with a goal in the 55th minute. Sam Bilyk (Oak Park, Ill./Oak Park & River Forest) & Max O'Shasky (Oak Creek, Wis./Oak Creek) were credited the assists.

Kiraly added two more solo goals, completing the hat trick in the 84th minute.

The Warhawks also added two goals just over 30-seconds a part. Matt White (Bangor, Northern Ireland/Bangor Grammar) finished a corner kick from Bilyk at 75:03 followed by a goal from Cristian Abdala (Niles, IL/Maine South) (assist from Owen Winegar (Arlington Heights, Ill./Fremd)) at 75:35.
