The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater women's soccer team fell to Illinois Tech in their home finale of the 2024 season.
First Half
The Warhawks had an uphill battle right away as IIT found four goals in the first 20 minutes. The opening goal of the night came from inside the box on a PK.
The Warhawks looked to counterattack the Scarlet Hawk's aggressive offense but were unable to capitalize in the offensive zone.Â
The Warhawks recorded one shot on goal in the first half with IIT recording 11.Â
Second Half
The Scarlet Hawks added one more out of the half to extend the lead to five goals in the 54
th minute.
The Warhawks took their second shot of the night with a laser from Gigi Zamborini. The IIT goalie made the save on the low roller, shutting down the Warhawk attack.
Illinois Tech added one more before the end of the game, with an unlucky bounce sneaking into the Warhawk goal in the 85th minute.
