Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

First Half Goals Propel Warhawks to Win at Stout

The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater women's soccer team used a pair of first half goals to top UW-Stout 2-0 on the road Saturday afternoon.

The Warhawks tallied 14 shots in the contest including 10 on frame while the defense held the Blue Devils to seven shots on goal. UW-Stout held the advantage in corners with an 8-3 sway.

Jordyn Czarapata (Muskego, Wis./) found the back of the net off of an assist from Gianna Zamborini (Louisville, Ken/duPont Manual) for her fourth goal of the season in the 20th minute to give UWW the lead.

Less than 10 minutes later, Maya Rebic (Elmhurst, Ill./York Community) bested the Blue Devil keeper off of an Emily Thill (West Chicago, Ill./St. Francis) pass for her fifth goal of 2024 and the 2-0 advantage.

Hannah Wolf (Oshkosh, Wis./West) went the distance in goal for the Warhawks registering seven saves in the complete game shutout.

With one league game left on the docket Saturday evening, UW-Whitewater moves into fifth in the WIAC standings with a single conference game remaining in the season. That final league game is set for November 2 at UW-River Falls.
