Theo Billson (Lindfield, England/BHASVIC) and Reuben Giorgio (Perth, Western Australia/Applecross) battled it out and in the quarterfinal of the ITA Cup in Rome, Georgia. The Warhawk pair faced the third-seeded pair from the University of Chicago, Emil Grantcharov and Derek Hsieh.

The Warhawks opened up the first set winning four out of the first five games. With the three-set lead, UWW took the first set 6-3 against the pair from UChicago.

UChicago flipped the script in the second set, winning the first four games. The Maroon pair took the second set 2-6, setting up another match tiebreaker.  

Billson/Giorgio found themselves down 0-3 in the set tiebreak, but stormed back to match it up at 4-4. From there on, neither team gained more than a two-point lead, surpassing the 10-point tiebreaker.

In the win-by-two tiebreaker, the Warhawks had the advantage 11-10, but UChicago closed out the match with three straight points, winning the tiebreaker 11-13.

Theo Billson (Lindfield, England/BHASVIC) and Reuben Giorgio (Perth, Western Australia/Applecross) return to the court against a doubles pair from Hamilton for a consolation match. The match is set to start at 5 PM (ET).
