The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater men's soccer team picked up their sixth shutout win of the season, with
Duncan Morgan (Oregon, Wis./Oregon) leading the way and setting a Keeper record in the Warhawk History books.
Duncan Morgan (Oregon, Wis./Oregon) picked up three saves in a 90-minute clean sheet. Morgan has played 532 consecutive minutes as keeper without a goal allowed this season for the Warhawks. This is the most consecutive minutes dating back to 2007 when the statistics were available. Morgan surpassed Chris Lucatorto (2017-462') and EJ Sesselmann (2007-452', 2009-458') with his game today.
Morgan did have some help on the offensive side, as UW-Whitewater kept high pressure on the scoring end. The Warhawks recorded 22 total shots with five of them on goal. The very first shot of the game for the Warhawks ended up with a goal, as
Jacob Mouille (Waunakee, Wis./Waunakee) scored only 2-minutes into the game.
The Warhawks would go on to score again late in the second half, with
Cooper Re (Kimberly, Wis./Kimberly) picking up the goal on the pass from
Andrew Phillips (Libertyville, IL/Libertyville). Securing the 2-0 win over the Panthers.
UW-Whitewater outshot Principia 22(5)-8(3) on the day and had 13 corner kicks against Principia's three.
UW-Whitewater will return to action tomorrow, capping off a 5-game stretch over 6 days. The Warhawks take on the Blue Jays of Westminsted College (MO) at 2 PM.
