The Prairie Fire got on the board early after a ball was sent into the box from the left corner. The Knox player paced a ball passed the far post that was headed back toward center just in front of the goal line, and then redirected into the back of the net just 1:38 into the contest. 

The Warhawks had a few great opportunities throughout the game holding an 8-7 advantage in shots and 3-1 in shots on goal but could not find the equalizer. 

Andres Villarreal (Racine, Wis./St. Catherine's) led the UW-W offense with three shots including one on frame. 

Jake King (McHenry, Ill./McHenry West) made two saves in the complete game in net.
