The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater battled for a pair of second half equalizers to tie No. 24 Loras College on the road Wednesday night. Sophomore
Allie Prigge (Palatine, Ill./Fremd) led the Warhawks scoring both goals in the contest.
The unbeaten Duhawks (6-0-3), opened the scoring with a goal in the 27th minute. That score held until 40 minutes of play later.
In the 67th minute, the Warhawks won a throw in close to the pin in the corner. A deep throw in by
Jordyn Czarapata (Muskego, Wis./Muskego) found Prigge's foot in traffic in the box who capitalized finding the back of the net to knot the match 1-1.
Just over ten minutes later, a long ball in from a free kick for Loras found another Duhawk in the box. The redirection led to a Loras goal in the 77th minute.
The Warhawks continued to press. Drawing a free kick in their offensive half in the 88th minute, the Prigge's connected for another equalizer.
Liz Prigge (Palatine, Ill./Fremd) stepped up to take the free kick, pacing a ball into the box. Allie rose up for the header, connected and beat the Duhawk keeper to tie the game 2-2.
In the final two minutes,
Jude Dobrinska (Milwaukee, Wis./Ronald Reagan College Prep) had a fantastic save and the Warhawk defense came up big turning away another shot on goal to hold on for the tie.
Dobrinska was credited with a pair of saves in the complete game in net for UW-W.
