The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater women's soccer team saw their seven-match non-losing streak come to an end with a 3-0 loss at Milwaukee School of Engineering Sunday afternoon.
Â
On a blustery day in Milwaukee, it was a defensive battle for the first 38 minutes of the contest. MSOE opened the scoring in the 39
th minute with the lone goal of the first half. The Raiders added a pair of second half scores, one in the 58
th minute and the final goal in the 78
th minute.
Â
Offensively,
Emily Thill (West Chicago, Ill./St. Francis) had the best opportunity for UW-Whitewater. She fired a shot in the 55
th minute toward the bottom left of goal that was turned away by the MSOE keeper.
Â
Jude Dobrinska (Milwaukee, Wis./Ronald Reagan College Prep) and
Emma Hager (Arlington Heights, Ill./Hersey) split time in goal for the Warhawks with Dobrinska registering four saves.
