The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater women's volleyball team hosted Coe College in the program's annual Dig Panici Classic in honor of a former Warhawk volleyball player Lisa Panici Friday evening. The Warhawks won the battle of the 'Hawks defeating Coe 3-0 (25-18, 28-26, 25-18).

The Warhawks jumped out to a 6-1 lead forcing an early Coe timeout. The Kohawks responded out of the break evening the set, but the UW-W offense was too much. Whitewater hit .263 in the set hamming down 14 kills while holding Coe to just .043.

With no timeouts remaining, Whitewater opted for a change to the offense to break the momentum after a few Coe points switching to a 5-1. The Warhawks began to swing the momentum back in their favor eventually taking a 23-18 advantage in the set. The Kohawks battled back sending the set into extra points before Emma Bludgen (Aurora, Ill./Metea Valley) secured the win with a fantastic serve that hit the top of the net and rolled over for the ace.
