Marc Gillespie (Antioch, Ill./Antioch) of the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater men's track and field team is featured in the latest edition of Getting To Know The Warhawks Presented by UW Credit Union.
 
Gillespie serves as one of five captains for the Warhawk men in 2022. He tallied personal record times in both the 200-meter dash and 400-meter dash, posting a 24.66 in the 200 and a 54.24 in the 400.
 
During the shortened 2020 season, Gillespie ran a career-best 8.99 in the 60-meter hurdles and qualified for the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Indoor Championships, where he placed 19th in the event.
 
In his first season with the team in 2019, Gillespie registered a personal record time of 59.27 seconds in the 400-meter hurdles. He placed 19th in the event at the 2019 WIAC Outdoor Championships.
 
A 2019-20 member of the WIAC Scholastic Honor Roll, Gillespie will graduate this spring with a degree in marketing. He is a two-time member of the UW-Whitewater Dean's List.
