Women’s Tennis Closes Busy Weekend Against Milwaukee

The No. 33 ranked University of Wisconsin-Whitewater women's tennis team suffered its first home loss of the season Sunday, falling 7-0 against Division I Milwaukee at Lake Geneva Tennis in Lake Geneva.
 
The Warhawks (12-2 overall), whose only two dual losses this season are against Division I programs, were unable to pull out a doubles match as the Panthers took the doubles point. Molly Rueth (Wheaton, Ill./Glenbard West) and Kellie Ha (Palatine, Ill./Fremd) played close at No. 2 but were outlasted by a 6-4 score.
 
Cassie Lee (Downers Grove, Ill./Timothy Christian) came close to taking the second set in her match at No. 2 singles but was outlasted 6-1, 7-6 (3) by Nikki Milner.
 
UW-Whitewater is set to head to Hilton Head Island, S.C., next week to begin the program's annual spring break trip. The team takes on George Fox (Ore.) Sunday at a time to be determined.
