The No. 11 ranked University of Wisconsin-Whitewater wrestling team competed Saturday at UW-Eau Claire's Don Parker Open in the team's final tune-up prior to next week's Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championship.
 
Chad Richards (Loves Park, Ill./Harlem) led the Warhawks with a runner-up finish at 197 pounds, recording three first-period pins on his way to the final. A total of 11 wrestlers represented UW-W at the tournament.
 
Griffin McEnroe (Itasca, Ill./Elk Grove) and Jerred Grell (Woodstock, Ill./Woodstock) reached their respective consolation finals at 125 and 184 pounds, respectively. Both finished with records of 2-2 for the tournament.
 
The WIAC Championship Presented by Culver's is slated for Saturday, Feb. 12, starting at 9 a.m. in Oshkosh.
