The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater football team hosts UW-Stevens Point in the regular season finale this Saturday. All veterans will receive two free tickets into Perkins Stadium (available at the ticket windows on Saturday only). Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m.

The Warhawks defeated UW-Stout 16-7 on the road last week. UW-Whitewater was dominant on the ground with 253 yards on 55 carries. The defense held the Blue Devils to just 13 rushing yards in the game. UWW held a 24-14 advantage in first downs. Tamir Thomas (Menomonee Falls, Wis./Menomonee Falls) and Jaylon Edmonson (Racine, Wis./Case) combined for 168 yards on 32 carries.

Jeffery Isotalo-McGuire (Phoenix, Ariz./Pinnacle) opened the scoring with a 38-yard field goal. UW-Stout countered with a 75-yard touchdown drive to take a 7-3 lead. Evan Lewandowski (Buffalo Grove, Ill./Lake Zurich) responded hitting Tommy Coates (Chicago, Ill./De La Salle Institute) from four-yards out to put the Warhawks back in front 10-7 in second quarter. Isotalo-McGuire split the uprights on a pair of 28-yard field goals to round out the scoring.

UW-Stevens Point fell to UW-Oshkosh 45-0 in the Pointers' home finale last Saturday. UWSP held the Titans to 14 points in the first half bolstered by a Marshal Bukowski interception late in the second. The Pointer quarterback tandem of Trey Schroeder and Charlie Smith threw for 120 yards on 15 completions while the ground game posted 76 yards on 33 attempts.

UW-Whitewater held its spot in a pair of national rankings this week. The Warhawks are tenth in the latest d3football.com poll and thirteenth according to the American Football Coaches Association.
