The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater men's soccer team cruised to a 7-1 win over St. Norbert College at Fiskum Field Sunday afternoon.
The Warhawks were dominant holding an 8-2 advantage in shots on goal and a 12-4 sway in corner kicks.
Matthew Waters (Glen Ellyn, Ill./Glenbard South) opened the scoring in the 31st minute.
Will Morgan (Naperville, Ill./Central) made good on a pass from
Peyton Nichols (Green Bay, Wis./Bayport) finding the back of the net for the eventual game-winner and a 2-0 UW-W lead in the 42nd minute.
The Green Knights registered the first goal on the other side of the break with a penalty kick goal in the 54th minute.
Less than two minutes later,
Jalen Holley (Milwaukee, Wis./Wauwatosa East) entered the scoring column off a Waters assist to spark a cascade of Warhawk offense.
Zack Kristy (Burr Ridge, Ill./Lyons Township) struck in the 65th minute with
Will Morgan (Naperville, Ill./Central) tallying the assist.
Cooper Re (Kimberly, Wis./Kimberly) posted back-to-back goals less than two minutes apart in the 72nd and 74th minutes.
Tucker Jahns (Elburn, Ill./Kaneland) was credited with the assist on both goals.
Aidan Glancey (Milwaukee, Wis./Whitnall) wrapped up the scoring off a pass from
Adam Kaup (Wisconsin Rapids, Wis./Lincoln) in the 84th minute.
Jake King (McHenry, Ill./McHenry West) and
Matthew Vollmer (Lake Zurich, Ill./Lake Zurich) split time in net with King tallying a save in nearly 74 minutes in goal.
