The UW-Whitewater men's soccer team picked up a 2-1 win at Augustana College Saturday night on the road to improve to 10-4-1 on the season.
A pair of first half goals lifted the Warhawks to the win.
Andres Villarreal (Racine, Wis./St. Catherine's) opened the scoring finding the back of the net off an assist from
Mariano Carini (Whitefish Bay, Wis./Whitefish Bay) in the 13th minute.
In the 40th,
Sebastian Pagan Vega (Kimberly, Wis./Kimberly) doubled up with an unassisted score to make it 2-0 UW-Whitewater.
Augustana cut the lead in half in the 68th minute but the Warhawk defense held for the win.
UW-Whitewater dominated offensively with a 17-5 sway in shots on goal. There were only three corners, two for UW-W, in the contest.
Duncan Morgan (Oregon, Wis./Oregon) registered the win in net recording four saves.
