Warhawks Fall at Augsburg

The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater men's soccer team fell to Augsburg 6-2 on the road Friday night.

The Auggies registered the lone goal of the first half in the 17th minute. The second half was a much different story with an explosion of offense.

Augsburg added three more goals to open the second half making it 4-0.

Faizan Mohiuddin (South Elgin, Ill./St. Charles North) cut into the deficit finding the back of the net off a double assist from Cooper Re (Kimberly, Wis./Kimberly) and Andres Villarreal (Racine, Wis./St. Catherine's) in the 62nd minute. Jalen Holley (Milwaukee, Wis./Wauwatosa East) pulled UWW to within two just under two minutes later besting the Auggie keeper off assists from Peyton Nichols (Green Bay, Wis./Bayport) and Mohiuddin.

Augsburg extended the lead in the 65th and added cushion in the 77th for the final.
