The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater men's soccer team picked up a 1-0 win over Macalester College at Fiskum Field Saturday evening.
UW-W continues to excel off of set pieces this season.
Matthew Waters (Glen Ellyn, Ill./Glenbard South) set the Warhawks' goal in motion with a free kick in to
Jacob Mouille (Waunakee, Wis./Waunakee). He found
Jalen Holley (Milwaukee, Wis./Wauwatosa East) for the first, and only goal of the contest in the 39th minute.
The Scots outshot UW-W 7-6 including a 3-2 sway in shots on goal but the Warhawks tallied the one that mattered.
Jake King (McHenry, Ill./McHenry West) registered the complete game win in net posting three saves.
The Warhawks return to Fiskum Field for a 1 p.m. kickoff against St. Norbert College Sunday.
