The UW-Whitewater women's soccer team picked up a Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference win with a 1-0 win over UW-Platteville Wednesday night at Fiskum Field.
The Warhawks fired 11 shots including six on goal in the contest while the defense held the Pioneers to just three shots in the match. UW-Whitewater also held a 6-1 advantage in corner kicks.
The opposing defenses held the offenses off the scoreboard until late in the contest.
Megan Howard (Lakeland, Minn./Stillwater Area) broke the stalemate with a goal in the 80th minute off an assist from
Allie Prigge (Palatine, Ill./Fremd).
Jude Dobrinska (Milwaukee, Wis./Ronald Reagan College Prep) registered three saves in the complete match in net for the Warhawks.
