ITA Cup Selection Process
The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater women's tennis team will host the annual Intercollegiate Tennis Association Midwest Regional and Midwest Open this Friday-Monday, Sept. 24-27, at the Warhawk Outdoor Tennis Complex and other sites in the Whitewater, Jefferson and Janesville areas.
Competition begins at 9 a.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday, and at 10:30 a.m. Monday. Spectators are encouraged to practice social distancing at outdoor venues and are required to wear facial coverings indoors while on the UW-Whitewater campus.
Parking for spectators on Friday will be available in Lots 11 and 24 on the UW-Whitewater campus. Parking is available in any campus lot on Saturday and Sunday. Click

Other competition sites include Whitewater High School, Premier Tennis and Fitness in Janesville, Jefferson High School, Palmer Park in Janesville (Friday only) and Parker High School in Janesville (Saturday only). Click here to view the

More than 220 student-athletes are set to represent 27 teams hailing from Wisconsin, Minnesota and Iowa.
The ITA Regional singles draw includes 96 players, while the doubles draw includes 51 doubles teams.
The Midwest Open, which runs in conjunction with the ITA tournament, features 123 singles players and 58 doubles teams.
The singles and doubles champions from this regional event will earn an automatic berth to the 2021 ITA Cup, which is scheduled for Oct. 14-17 at the Rome Tennis Center at Berry College in Rome, Ga. In 2019, the ITA Cup expanded draw sizes from eight singles players and eight doubles teams to 16 singles players and 16 doubles teams. The ITA Cup Selection Criteria now allows the Midwest regional finalists in singles and doubles automatic qualification to the ITA Cup.
