WFCA Announcement
Kevin Bullis, Head Football Coach at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, will be inducted into the Wisconsin Football Coaches Association (WFCA) Hall of Fame this spring.
Bullis, one of three Class of 2022 inductees under the category of Head/Assistant Coaches, will be recognized at a banquet in April. Information on the banquet will be announced in the coming months.
Bullis entered the 2020-21 year as the winningest active coach by percentage (.862) in all NCAA divisions with at least five seasons at a four-year school.
Bullis led UW-Whitewater to the program's 10th appearance in the Stagg Bowl, the NCAA Division III national championship game, in 2019. The team shared the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference championship and finished the year with a 13-2 record, including 6-1 in the conference.
Entering his seventh season at the helm of the program, Bullis owns a 57-9 career record, including a 32-3 mark against league competition during the regular season. Under his leadership, the Warhawks have earned 81 All-WIAC honors, 37 All-West Region accolades and 34 All-American awards.
Bullis has guided the Warhawks to three WIAC championships and four NCAA Playoffs bids, including one national runner-up finish (2019), two semifinal appearances (2015, 2018) and one trip to the quarterfinals (2016). He is a two-time WIAC George Chryst Coach of the Year.
Prior to being named head coach in 2015, Bullis helped the Warhawks claim five national championships in six trips to the Stagg Bowl as an assistant coach from 2008-14. He coached the defensive line and coordinated the run defense, assisted on special teams and recruited defensive linemen in Wisconsin and Illinois. Bullis also served as an academic advisor at UW-Whitewater during that span.
Bullis was the defensive coordinator at UW-River Falls from 1995-2007, and held previous roles on defensive staffs at Gustavus Adolphus (1993-95), UW-River Falls (1990-93) and Minnesota Morris (1988-89).
