The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater women's tennis team extended its active dual win streak against Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference opponents to 105 matches Tuesday with a 9-0 triumph at UW-Oshkosh.
The Warhawks (7-5 overall, 3-0 WIAC) dropped only two games in doubles and controlled the singles matches to earn their sixth straight dual win.
Paige Nierman (Hawthorn Woods, Ill./Stevenson) and
Olivia Kraft (Bloomington, Ill./Normal Community) put UW-W on the board with an 8-1 victory at the No. 1 doubles slot.
Jessica Minkov (Schiller Park, Ill./East Leyden) and
MacKenzie Lindow (East Troy, Wis./East Troy) combined for an 8-1 triumph at No. 3, and
Molly Rueth (Wheaton, Ill./Glenbard West) and
Courtney Day (Oshkosh, Wis./North) paired at No. 2 for an 8-0 win.
Kasey Schlicht (Pewaukee, Wis./Pewaukee) made the dual score 4-0 with a 6-0, 6-1 victory at the first singles position, and
Bethany Marshall (Cary, Ill./Cary-Grove) clinched the dual with a 6-0, 6-0 shutout at the third position.
Sabrina Palavra (Skokie, Ill./Niles North),
Kellie Ha (Palatine, Ill./Fremd) and
Madalyn Bigelow (Kenosha, Wis./Tremper) collected wins at the Nos. 2, 4 and 5 spots, respectively.
Bryce Bigelow (Kenosha, Wis./Tremper) earned a victory by injury default at No. 6.
UW-Whitewater hosts UW-Eau Claire Saturday at 2 p.m. at Wangerin Courts.
